I’m trying to find a YA book about the Salem Witch Trials. All I remember is, in the “present day” (which for the purposes of the book was probably around the 1990s), presumably on an important anniversary of the events of the Salem Witch Trials, children who were descendants of the accusers of the people put to death wake up with mysterious ailments that mirror the way in which the “witch” their respective ancestors accused was put to death (e.g. a descendant of Giles Corey has chest pains). Does anyone have any ideas?
Possibly Gallows Hill by Lois Duncan (1997).
