It’s a children’s book. It is about different animals, like safari animals, etc. The pictures/art were almost like a watercolor — very whimsical, pinks and purples. I remember a giraffe, a leopard, and a lion in it. I want to say it had something to do with heaven but I’m not really sure. When I think of it I also think of clouds and the sky.

Maybe LION by William Pene du Bois? The angels are all in Heaven creating animals, and the Lion becomes tawny and furry when the angel rubs an (eraser??) over the drawing.
