Hello! I’ve been searching for a book I read as a teen, maybe in the late 60’s or early 70’s. It was a dark take on the My Side of the Mountain books and featured a girl or young woman who flees to a mountain to live alone. I think she gets pregnant and has a baby. Sound familiar?

I think this one might be A Wild Thing by Jean Renvoize. It was rather traumatizing to me when I read as a preteen in the early/mid 70s.
