I’ve been looking everywhere for this weird children;s picture book where a boy gets turned into a fish. Perhaps by a magic fish? It’s not the “Rainbow fish” which is something that comes up when I google it.  Though this fish may have been rainbow-ey. It was kind of melancholy, and beautiful and unsettling, with very colorful rich illustrations. The boy ends up in the water still with his human face but with the body of a fish, and maybe he had to found someone to help turn him back into a boy or something?

I read this book when I was very young, and I remember little about it. I am not even 100% sure that it even is a YA book.  It is a horror book about a boy who slowly realizes that he is experiencing a demonic possession. One of the first things he notices is that his feet are filthy and there is dirt and leaves in his bed when he wakes up. He realizes he’s been outside at night for hours, presumably sleepwalking.  He somehow gets some help from a priest, who gives him a cross chain that has been blessed or something, which staves off his demon for a time. He has a friend who I think keeps an eye on him to see if he “relapses”. One day, the chain begins really irritating his skin so he removes it, and shortly after collapses to the ground. I distinctly remember the text describing how the friend opens his mouth to “make sure he hasn’t swallowed his tongue”.  I also remember this one weird line of text. The priest (I think) asks him a question. Something along the lines of “why don’t you like me?” / “why do you hate me?” / “why are you displaying aggression or disdain towards me?” The possessed boy responds: “Because you’re a [“x” almost sure it was a name].” And [X’s] are the enemy.”  The word “enemy” was in italics exactly that way, if that helps. I wish I had more to give you! I know this is so random and disjointed, but I don’t remember anything else about the book other than the fact that it scared the daylights out of me when I was a kid. I’d be supremely impressed if anyone solved this.

I read it in 2001 or so at camp (where I got sick with the flu basically immediately and was confined to the infirmary for like 4 days out of 14. Just my luck). I know the book was NOT a recent publication because it looked like it had been read a million times and had the vibe of late 80s/early 90s publishing.  It was a paperback book about a girl (maybe 14? I remember her being older than I was) who is sent to summer camp. She does not WANT to be at this summer camp. She is going out of her way to intentionally be miserable at camp so she will hopefully be sent home. the camp is owned and operated by a couple who are overly cheerful and own a beverage company called “Yummoo” or perhaps “Yum-moo.” I remember thinking “wow that’s weirdly close to yoo-hoo.” And it was described as a gross, chocolatey drink as well. I believe it was middle grade or perhaps YA—no longer than 200 pages (probably closer to 120-140).  At one point in time, she gets stuck in the shower at her camp with a horse. That’s the cover—it’s done in the kind of Babysitter’s Club realistic-but-still-art style. She is in the shower, with a horse, looking completely miserable. I feel like the book probably talks a lot about how much she hates the horse (and subsequently hates the camp).

I’ve been looking for a book for years but can’t remember the title or much about it! It’s a Young Adult book, and it’s similar to Prom and Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg, and i know i found said book near this book at the library. I read my book between 2012-2015. I can’t pin point the plot exactly but it’s about a teenage girl visiting her military father i believe in another country where she meets a boy and they begin seeing each other. i believe the authors last name started between D-H but i’m not 100% sure.

I read an ebook (it was on an ipod I had in 5th grade, and I’ve tried looking everywhere for it but can’t find it anywhere) when I was younger about two girls who I think were high school age? And they were the exact same age as each other (born like minutes apart). I don’t remember the character names, so I’ll call the main character A and the best friend B. So for their whole life, B was training to develop her super powers (because her dad had powers and I guess it was genetic). A was jealous of the thought of powers, but didn’t show it. And throughout the book, weird things kept happening around A. Swarms of animals would follow her everywhere, like frogs, birds, bugs, etc.  Also there was a new guy who moved to town and he had powers too because he’s from the same world as B’s dad (like a whole different dimension or something idk). And B was like “yes match made in heaven” and they started dating, and A was super jealous because B always got the good things in life (A’s dad died and I think her mom was very ill). But then in the end it’s revealed that A and B got switched at birth, and their moms didn’t realize, so B’s family is actually A’s family, and A’s is actually B’s. A also realizes that she actually has powers, and B doesn’t (B was never shown to actually be able to use her powers).

I am currently looking for 2 books which I haven’t been able to find.

1. Her name is Felicity, she is a redhead, a children’s teacher and she lives in a small town. This doctor moves into town and they go to a dance together. While at the dance, her necklace gets stuck between them so they have to find a way to maneuver it. They end up having an affair. One scene in the book stands out where it was snowing and he came over. I read this as a teenage girl and can’t remember the name, but this is all the details I have.

2. I think it’s called Argrosy? It’s a collection of stories from one with an iceberg to one with a moose and rattlesnake. I can’t find it anywhere and I can’t remember what it looks like. It was a gift to me as a child and I don’t know how I lost it.  I would be so grateful if you could help me find these books. I have been searching for years.

I have a book from my childhood I can remember but not name.  It was about three siblings, two brothers and a sister (I think her name was Lydia.) whose dad was the caretaker of a dragon. Something happens and their father and the dragon are killed. The siblings end up on a dangerous quest with a dragon egg they are trying to keep safe.

We read it in class when I was in 8th grade – around 2012. Our teacher mostly read it to us because she only had a handful of copies, so I never held the book physically in my hands and I think that’s part of why I can’t remember what the book is called. I just remember I cried at the end. But it was about these two girls who live in a very small town. I remember there being something important about a cul-de-sac – maybe they all lived around the same cul-de-sac? But these girls have been best friends forever until this boy moves into town. His name was Ethan. They start fighting over him, and I think I remember there being something tragic about his past? The main character is really nice and sweet, I think she had a little brother, and the other one is kind of mean and jealous. There’s a school fire at the very end and Ethan dies. I’ve been trying to find it FOREVER, not necessarily because I liked it, but because I’m frustrated I can’t remember what it is.

I have been looking for a mystery/horror novel from years ago.  I don’t know the name or author, but I swore it was something like The Wind In The Trees or similar.  I remember a scene in the book where a girl was wandering in these sinister woods, and the trees picked her up high in the air, and dropped her, killing her. I know this sounds awful, but it was actually a really good, scary book.  Do you have a way to search for this?
