it’s a mid- to late-mid 20th century novel by a UK female author; it ends with an intentional deadly car crash. The driver is a teen who deliberately kills herself and her boyfriend (he’s in passenger seat). It’s her revenge for the cruel treatment he subjects her to.   Does that ring any bells? 

 I read this book some time between 1978-1982. It was really special for me. There were about 5 kids from various backgrounds who lived in a children’s hospital. The hospital might have ben “Belleview”, and there may have been a character named “Brock”. There was also a hispanic character. I think he was in a wheelchair. The details are murky, and the hospital may have had a different name. When they snuck out of the hospital and went on adventures their infirmities would diminish. My elementary school librarian probably siggested this book for me. I was a really good reader. If you can help me find it again I qould be very grateful

I have been searching for a book title I read around 1980. It is a young adult book about a boy (and his siblings) who leave a house of neglect… often escaping to an abandoned house.  I don’t remember a lot about the book except some type of super natural effects in the house the children escape to.  It was emotional.  It didn’t seem like a mainstream book. I just cannot recall this.  Please let me know if you can help me find this. I am grateful

I remember reading it between 6th and 8th grade in the late 80s. All I remember is (I think) a modern girl, maybe 13 or 14 years old, wakes up in ancient egypt. I don’t remember anything of the plot, only that I enjoyed this book. 

 My sister is on the hunt for a book with a purple cover that she studied in grade school circa 2002 but believes it’s from the late 80s/early 90s about a brother and sister who move into a haunted house. I realize that probably describes a great deal of books but if you or your readers could narrow it down to a few possibilities, we can go from there. 

I read this book in the 1960s.  It is a teen book about a girl who has very long hair.  The girl is not popular at school.  Every day after school her mother would serve tea to her.  This girl is going to go to a summer camp as a counselor.  On her trip there she has her hair cut. Her hair now has a wave in it.  At the camp she finally finds acceptance as a person.  I would love to know the title and author.  I can’t stand remember either one.

 I’ve been searching for a book I’ve read in 5th or 6th grade for over a month now. I remember the main girl character had reddish hair and I think she had a passion for music. It was also said in the book by the male main character that she had her hair down but side braids? i think that’s what it’s called. Now for the male character, I could’ve sworn he had brown hair and I don’t remember if he was the one who had the passion for music or if it was the girl. I’m sure it was taken place in highschool, and the book was made for young teens I think. I also remember the cover of the book being blue? and It had a sketch of a guitar. Hopefully you’ll be able to solve my problems

2014ish thriller about a London woman in a seemingly stable relationship who goes to meet her boyfriend at airport arrivals one evening but her never shows up. Large part of the novel is her looking for him while a shadowy figure seems to be following her. SPOILERS. Turns out the guy following is his troubled identical twin. Boyfriend shows up and says the brother is dangerous. IIRC he killed his twin’s girlfriend in some kind of violent sex game with drugs while pretending to be him. ENDING The woman is eventually approached by the twin who explains it all and they go to a cottage or somewhere remote. The boyfriend finds out and kills the twin (stabs him I think). The boyfriend then chases the woman in the dark into fields and almost kills her but she kills him with a rock.

I read this book sometime in the mid 1900s-early 2000s, but it could have been published earlier as it was from the library . It was science fiction. Could have been adult or young adult. Girl is on a vacation with her family on a planet. Her brother and younger sister are there too. All three are kidnapped by aliens. The girl ends up being kept by an alien who is a scientist. The son ends up in an alien zoo and I think the youngest daughter became a pet of a “rich” alien…thing? The eventually break out and get home. Any bites?

Hi! Can you help me find my favorite book from when I was 9 and 10 years old? I’m guessing this was published in the late 90’s or early 00’s but could be wrong. It has a periwinkle paperback cover and a a short middle reader novel about a girl who moves to live with her grandma (and grandpa?) in a small town for a summer. This is where her single mother grew up. She stays in her mom’s childhood bedroom and reads her diaries. One day, she meets a 7yo boy in the woods behind her grandma’s house. She later finds out he has leukemia, and he’s her half brother. She gets to know her dad, and there’s also a plot line about a romance with some boy she meets outside church. Eventually, she donates her blood marrow to her half brother (I think his name is Jamie). I’ve googled to no end and cannot find the name of this book anywhere!! Any suggestions are helpful.
