I read a book when I was in elementary school that I haven’t been able to find the name to. I imagine it was a kids novel but I’m not exactly sure but the main character was some sort of kid. I think it may have been a boy but I remember specifically that the protagonist was friends with a ghost. I also remember a scene where he goes outside and sees the friend from a hospital window and it’s like a big moment because I think he didn’t know the friend was a ghost. The vibes were like ‘Noah Barleywater Runs Away’ by John Boyne but I’m pretty certain it’s not that book.

i don’t really remember much about this book but i read it when i was younger around 10? it was about this boy who was in an orphanage/care home and he gets an invitation for a competition (i think?) for a famous video game. Basically he has to do some trials and then he passes and a few other kids win the competition too and they end up going to another world and going inside the video game. It could’ve been just him going by himself though. He has to get a cure for the bosses daughter i think. PLEASE i’ve been looking for this for so long!!

I’ve been trying to remember this for years. I’m assuming it was YA, read in 2008/2009. Did not seem to be a ‘classic’, so maybe only published in 1990’s-2008. I remember little about the plot, but there was a young girl who interacted with street performers in London (especially human statue types). The cover was black with a cracked/crumbling stone face on the front. Plot may have had something to do with magic but I’m unsure on that.

It was an adventure/action/mystery book that was well at least 300 pages long. It followed these two brooding-looking dark haired twins (one girl, one boy) who were exploring the mystery of their family history? I think it had something to do with their father specifically? There was a moment with a cliff I think, and a tiger! But it was very wacky and so much was going on. I read it in elementary school and it was my favorite book ever.

book I read in middle school on my kindle and I can’t remember the title but I know it was about some girl and possibly her neighbor boy? Anyways the most solid thing I remember is the ending where the boy goes to break up with his girlfriend and they get in an accident while it’s raining. The girlfriend goes through the windshield because she wasn’t wearing her seatbelt but the boy is relatively fine. He leaves the car to check on the girlfriend but doesn’t see the broken power line next to her. He sits down to check on her and puts his hand in a puddle and it’s electrified from the power line and he fries and dies :/ this book altered my brain chemistry and i would love to witness that again. Thanks!

The book is a take on red riding hood. The main character has a sister who is favorited by their parents and is ‘perfect’. In the first few chapters it mentions how her sisters water is always sweetened with honey. I believe they live in a mining town? Basically the wolf is a werewolf and keeps killing off the townsfolk. There’s some sort of leadership that comes into the town to help them but really just wants to take over the town. This antagonist leader at some point puts a small boy (the main characters friend?) in an ‘iron elephant’ to torture him into admitting he’s the wolf. The boy dies. The wolf ends up being her father?
