I’m not sure how old the book is since it was from my middle school reading teachers personal connection. I don’t remember much details but it was a long series focused on a couple of different characters. The most memorable were an ex soldier(? Or just a warrior?) who used the sword but gave it up to become a monk. Eventually some stuff happens and he becomes some hardcore warrior/killer again. The second memorable character I can think of is a big, muscular guy that wields a giant double sided axe. The only thing I remember about him was that in combat his comrades couldn’t get near him for fear of also getting diced in half (he seemed like a berserk type). There were some books in the series focused on the individuals story but one or two books I read included both characters.

I read this book in middle school about this teenage girl-boy romance. The girl was popular and the boy was not. He was also obsessed with birds throughout the entire novel. The girl had a younger sibling who she kept getting separated from, because of her parent’s divorce. She basically had a really bad home life and a lot of mental health issues. It was making her suicidal and super erratic. There’s one chapter where the girl strips in front of the boy during their first date. The boy was definitely the main character and I can’t remember if they ended up together. This story was old, definitely before 2000.

Around 2004 I read a book about a girl and her mother that lived in the middle of nowhere. Her mother is obsessed with a horrible storm that plagues the area, and invents a number of different suits to ‘beat the storm’ although it’s mostly in vain. One in particular is described as a rubber suit covered with heavy chains to keep her on the ground. Her mother almost dies in similar attempts many times. Possibly her Dad was killed in the storm. I know the title had the word ‘whale’ in it.

It was this book about like a complex political murder mystery that took place over a week in a Princedom (where rulers are a prince) and was part of a larger series no library in my area carried.

I’m looking for a book I read years ago. It was about a girl who had and shorter leg than the other. She was eating breakfast with her family (cereal) and on the cereal box was an advertisement for a space program. She loves space so she joins and she got accepted. Most of the details are a blur but and and a group of others were the top students from the program and they were taken on a space elevator and shown a box. In the box was something that belonged to a crashed meteor. Every one of the kids had it sucked into their skins and they got powers. Like the main girl got super intelligence. Another girl named Ruth got super strength. I forget what the others got. Oh and one of the top students was a boy that had a sort of romantic relationship with the main girl and he got into the top list because his dad had money and they gave it to the space program.

I read this book in 5th grade. It was about a 10-12 year old girl with a disabled dad. She had a good relationship with her dad. The cover had a ton of school supplies on it and crafts on a wooden table. This is probably very very very unspecific. This is all I remember about that book.

I want to know this book I used to read when I was a kid, I don’t know its title coz the copy i had, had a missing cover… I am assuming it’s from the 80s or 90s. I know it was a coming of age story, the main character was named Felicity, she was 11 years old, and she had an older sister, idk her name but she was 13. She also had two nerdy friends and all I know is that she was trying to be cool and a “girly girl” like her sister or something like that… I really don’t remember much else. I do know that I learned the word “paraphrasing” from that book, as the MC’s friend used that word coz they were doing a science project.

a book I read around 4 years ago that I forget what it’s called and I heard you can help. There was a store called “Elliot’s antiques”, the main character had fallen in love with a guy who was deaf I think, and the guy was also in a wheelchair. They had went across the street to a beach from where they were. They met at a therapist, a doctors office or something like that. That’s all I remember. Thank you so much.

So this book is romance. Historical romance, I think. It has about three parts. I think the title is “Masque of Jade.” I can’t remember anything else.
