It’s a book for 10-13 year olds I would say, it’s got kind of a dark gothic setting and I think it’s about a pair of siblings who go to this school. I remember one scene where one of the characters is walking across the football field after school and a bully or something comes up to them and is mean to them. That’s literally all I can remember.

I read this book around 2011, and it is sort of a sci fi dystopian YA book. I believe it was a series, but is only remember plot points from the first 1-2 books. It revolves around a boy whose sister (possibly his twin) went missing when they were younger and he’s never seen her since. The city they live in separates the have and have nots. The rich life in high rises closer to the sun, and the poorer people live near the ground and eat genetically modified food that has all of their nutrients inside. They do not eat real food unlike the rich people above. The main boy enters a contest at an arcade (I think?) in the poor part of the city and the contest is a flying and shooting game. One person is the pilot and the other is the gunner in a spaceship like device. He teams up with a female character to win the high score (he is the pilot, she is the gunner). They both get sent off to the upper city and he runs into his missing sister there! The children also all have genetic mutations like webbed toes and I remember distinctly one child looks like a Lion. The genetic mutations are how they are so good at the arcade game. I think they find out that they are all being trained to fight in the military and the arcade game was a test to see who would be best for the positions.

I’m looking for a book about a girl who is in a script writing class in college and meets a boy. They spend time together, then he leaves for some reason. She ends up writing a play about him that the class puts on and he comes back to see it. I think it was called The Mockingbird.

Its a book series, was in my Primary School library and I loved it. From what I can remember it was similar to Harry Potter in that they went to a school where they learned to use their abilities, but they each had a unique ability. I believe one of the first books had a werewolf as the main antagonist

Hi! I’m looking for a book I would’ve read around 2003-4 maybe? It was a beginners chapter book and all I remember was a boy went to a corner shop and a witch was there. She turned him into a frog or a toad. It scared me so much when I was little and now I’m dying to read it again! Thanks for your help!

So there was this book i read a while ago that i just cant find. The book was about a bunch of girls who form a group, and it’s revealed that a bunch of them were assaulted in some way. There’s a plotline with the central character about writing on her closet wall from the girl who had the room before her, and another one of the main girls was autistic and was really into Star Trek. It followed a bunch of different point of views each chapter. I read it around 2018ish, and the book was recently published at the time.

grass green hardback, picture of a lamb possibly on the cover but i think probably somewhere on the inside. it was a story of a little girl, and she had a lamb as a friend i think? i remember so vividly, the author used the phrase “by and by” or “by the by” very regularly. this has been haunting me.

This book I found in my grandmothers house. It was a shortish chapter book about a little girl who was a witch. She lives with her aunts in I think the attic? I can’t remember if the plot is she doesn’t want to be a witch or her just being a witch. She gave off junie b Jones in witch form

I read this book one time that was set during (I think) segregation, and a black girl was new to the town or neighborhood which was predominantly white. There were trains that went through the town or just at the edge and one day a baby or small child was on the tracks and the girl ran and grabbed the baby before the train hit. I think there was also a part in the book about one of the guys in the town jumping off the bridge to kill himself? I also remember it was a shorter book.
