It’s a children’s book (I think a chapter book) about a girl who is going to a birthday party (she may not be very well off?). The present she brings the birthday girl is her favorite book (?) or some book wrapped in newspaper, I think it’s the comics page. These girls go to multiple places during the birthday party – they start at a make-over/dress-up place (like Club Libby Lu, but I don’t know if it was named that), and all the other girls get cool outfits like fairies or rockers and protag gets pirate. She definitely is disappointed by this costume as I’m pretty sure she can’t afford to go otherwise and this was her only chance to go. Then they go to a restaurant and I think something bad happens there too. At some point they open presents and protag’s book is the only inexpensive and “uncool” gift. Finally the birthday party ends at a hotel where they are supposed to have a sleepover, I think the girls talk about playing a prank or something, but the protag calls her parents to come home early I think??? I don’t remember any conclusion to it but I remember all the details very vividly.

It’s a YA book that is about a young girl who lives in Boulder Colorado, her mother has a dependency on weed and she has a little sister that she takes care of. She frequently goes to bonfires and I’m pretty sure she has a love interest in the book too. Please let me know! Sorry if it’s not enough information, it was like 3 years ago.

Don’t remember too much about the book, it involved a boy. Think he lived in a town/city, he was very poor and I remember something about a molasses factory or something in that town

Pls can you help me find a book where the main character is a red head who got kidnapped with her lover and taken aboard a ship with a cruel captain. She was taken to a far off land where she works as a maid or something, after a long while is rescued by her lover who managed to escape. I think he won her in a card game or dice game, kinda hard to remember.

It was about a girl who was an orphan and on the run either from the government or a secret organization that was after teens with supernatural powers. The girl had recently transferred high schools, and she befriended a boy. I remember the novel being a series but I only read the first book. I think it came out in 2014/2015. Any help finding the author or the title of the novel would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

I’m looking for a YA novel where the main characters are Connie and Rudi, and one day they wake up in each other’s bodies. Connie is a normal teen and Rudi is a prince of some kind. Slowly they work out that something is out to get them and during the final showdown bit they switch minds frequently; one of them is climbing a wall; it’s nighttime. I remember the book cover art: light blue background, with one face front on and one face in profile, overlapping in an optical illusion

Looking for a book I read in the early 80s. Similar theme to Lord of the Flies. All the adults died or disappeared. The teenagers and kids taught themselves to drive and even fly a plane.

I’m searching for a story that was read to our class around 1967. It was about a Viking flying ship ! If I remember correctly they went on various adventures.

there’s one book I’ve been dying to remember since being obsessed with it in third grade (around 2011). I think it was a hot pink book and the title was something like “A Girl’s Guide to Life: Everything A Girl Needs to Know” (except I don’t think so because every time I google that I can’t find it). It was full of how-tos and fun facts and history and, like, stuff about the world and different cultures? I remember a page about Amelia Earheart and another about the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle and Easter Island statues, and maybe stuff about animals too? That’s as much as I can remember but I would love to find this book again.

I am hunting a short book/story, which I think might be from the 60s, and maybe with a pink cover. It’s about a lady who may have some kind of mania, and progressively sells all of her belongings in hope of buying ?a handbag (maybe i made this bit up). Thank you!
