YA book I read in like 2012 it is set in like Ancient Rome or Greece. it’s about this girl who falls in love with this boy but he ends up being a god of some sort. In order for them to be together she had to pass this test where basically you have a skill and you must become the god of that skill. She chooses dancing or singing I think. And if you’re like holy enough you will be able to swallow this liquid and become a god she does this while dancing and ends up swallowing it and she becomes a god.
