Hi! I’m looking for a book I would’ve read around 2003-4 maybe? It was a beginners chapter book and all I remember was a boy went to a corner shop and a witch was there. She turned him into a frog or a toad. It scared me so much when I was little and now I’m dying to read it again! Thanks for your help!
Lost Classics of Teen Lit: Name That Book! 
Any chance that this is “Little Witch” by Anna Elizabeth Bennett? It’s a classic early chapter book. The mother of the little witch is quite horrible and abusive. She turned the people she didn’t like into flower pots, though, not amphibians.
